A member of the Doom Patrol, Ted Bruder was picked randomly by Thayer Jost, CEO of Jost Enterprises, due to his ability to see 60 seconds into the future. He has a surly and mean attitude, which led to him being called Negative Man by his Teammates.

1.Negative man I can seperate from his body, while Ted/Negative Man II can see into the future, both of them have a limit of 60 seconds. 2. In last couple of issues of Doom Patrol, Ted loses his powers trying to see more than 60 seconds, which made him see alternative futures, drove him mad, and then lost his powers because of sedatives. He didn't care much about losing his powers, though.
