Super-Woman was a member of the Crime Syndicate of America. She was born into the partially "reversed" universe of Earth-Three.

Crime Syndicate

Similar to the story of Wonder Woman, Super-Woman was a known Amazon and has all the powers and abilities of the Amazons. But unlike Princess Diana who was a recognized leader of the Amazons, this Amazon was a renegade who left Paradise Island on her own accord after finding out about the outside world. It was also known that the Amazons of Earth-Three never tried to recall her back from the outside world despite all the intervening years Super-Woman was active. However it has been assumed that like the Earth-Two Wonder Woman she was stripped of her immortality by the Amazons for breaking their rules and laws as she is usually shown with a white streak of hair in her later appearances, indicating that she was aging in later stories.

After their defeat by the combined forces of the Earth-Two Justice Society of America and the Earth-One Justice League of America, Super-Woman would remain imprisoned between dimensions until Captain Comet and the Secret Society of Super-Villains passed through the dimensions and accidentally freed her along with Power Ring and Johnny Quick.[3]

Crime Syndicate freed.

After being defeated by Captain Comet, Super-Woman and her fellow Crime Syndicate members were once again imprisoned. But Super-Woman and the Crime Syndicate were able to routinely escape as shown when the Per Degaton and the Ultra-Humanite and his new time-traveling band of the Secret Society came to Earth-Three.[4] Super-Woman and the others would battle against Alexander Luthor, Sr. and other heroes on many occasions who would routinely defeat Super-Woman and the other members of the Crime Syndicate.

Crisis on Infinite Earths

Main article: Crisis on Infinite Earths

This basic stalemate of escape and imprisonment would continue until the antimatter wave attack of the Anti-Monitor came to Earth-Three during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Unable to stop the antimatter wave that was destroying Earth-Three, Super-Woman and the other members of the Crime Syndicate teamed up with Luthor, Sr. in an attempt to stop the attack. Super-Woman was trying to directly brace a building against the anti-matter wave which ripped through her hundreds of feet thick barrier and killed her as Luthor, Sr. looked on.

Super-Woman along with everyone else native to their dimension died in the attack and were completely erased from all history with the reset of the single surviving universe, except for Superman of Earth-Two and Alexander Luthor, Jr. who remembered Super-Woman and her world.

Convergence

Convergence Vol 1 0 Textless
Convergence
This section of the history takes place during Convergence, a massive crossover event revisiting characters from past eras and realities. The villains Brainiac and Telos plucked them from their own timeline and stored them together, causing them to cross over into each others' reality. Its precise chronological placement and canonicity may be unclear.

Superwoman and the Crime Syndicate were teleported to an unknown planet by a being named Telos, who also kidnapped several other heroes and villains from other universes to fight each other (at the behest of Brainiac). She was sentenced to death for killing Bruno Mannheim.[5] When the field goes down, she was brought back to life, defeats Wonder Woman and wins the battle for the Crime Syndicate.[6] Presumably, Superwoman and the Crime Syndicate were erased from existence by Brainiac and replaced by new versions.

Powers

Abilities

Weapons

  • Magic Lasso: Superwoman can turn her lasso into a dragon[2].

  • This version of Super-Woman (Earth-Three), including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
  • Super-Woman was never given an alias prior to Crisis on Infinite Earths, but in Convergence: Crime Syndicate #1 Owlman refers to her as Lois. Although this is a reference to how many Superwomen after Crisis were Lois Lane, a Lois Lane existed on Pre-Crisis Earth-Three independent of Super-Woman.
