Synopsis for "Double Danger on Earth!"
On Earth-Two, it is announced that a comet has hit the sun, causing radiation that will destroy all life within a matter of days. The president puts scientist Jay Garrick in charge of the effort to solve the problem. He hears a report from Flagstaff, Arizona that there is a meteorite nearby which absorbs the deadly radiation. After fondly recalling his last adventure with the Justice Society, Jay heads for Arizona, only to find that the meteorite has mysteriously disappeared. He decides to travel to Earth-One, in hopes that he might find another meteorite there.
Meanwhile, on Earth-One, Barry Allen and Iris West attend a costume ball for charity, Barry dressed as the Flash. However, Captain Cold and the Trickster are also in attendance, both intending to steal the $100,000 raised at the ball. Jay arrives, and together, he and Barry attempt to stop the crooks, but they get away.
After explaining his predicament to Barry, Jay heads to Arizona, where he uses his speed to dig up the meteorite. He then breaks it up into smaller pieces and transports them to Central City, where he builds a vibrator-transporter device to send them to Earth-Two.
Barry lays a trap for Captain Cold and the Trickster by having Iris write a story in the Picture News saying that the meteorite fragments contain a fortune in diamonds. The Rogues take the bait, and successfully steal the diamonds, which are actually shards of glass, but are tracked down and defeated by the Flashes.
Jay transports the meteorite fragments back to Earth-Two, where they are sent into the atmosphere, ending the threat of the radiation.
